    So, right now I have a Nexus 7 (2013)

I use it as my primary internet device via a 4G hotspot. However it's getting slower than I like.

Does anyone know what it's "upgrade path" would be in another device of a similar screen size? (I mainly like to be able to hold it "firmly" in one hand)

    Thanks!

Well, I also have the N7 2013 and looking for an upgrade. If you want something now I would suggest the Shield Tablet. $199 and easy to hold with a big Gaming plus. Rumors are that a new N7 is coming from Huawei this year though and that's what I'm waiting for

I recently upgraded my Nexus 7 (2012) to the Nvidia Shield tablet and I'm loving the difference. Much improved performance and the size isn't TOO much larger. The front-facing speakers are awesome for games, videos, and etc.
