Long pressing a desktop folder erases it, is this normal?

Long pressing a desktop folder erases it, is this normal?

I'm just slightly long clicking it and not dragging it anywhere.

I would say that is not normal. Usually you have to long press on it and drag it up to the trashcan. Is the problem reproducible on a consistent basis? Are you using the stock launcher?

Stock everything. One of my folders called games kept disappearing on me and I was not sure why. Then I saw it happen when when I did a slightly long click.
Looks like it was because of it's original location in one of the 2 spots right under where the trash appears. I did press to long and the screen just barely started
to shrink, but it was enough to erase the folder. Basically operator error, but kinda easy to do.

Ah, that makes sense. Yeah they made it a lot more subtle when you are deleting things off the home screen. I am using Nova Launcher and it is more apparent when you are removing stuff.

Least you know now.
