Something I noticed after the update. My Google Calendar and CBS Sports Widgets get stuck in a loading mode and doesn't refresh. I would have to remove them from my screen and the replace them again for them to work. Have any of you noticed any kind of quirks like this with your phones?

I've noticed the same with the Google Calendar widget as well.

If battery life is the only problem, I would try a battery pull and cache wipe before a FDR. It might save you the time and hassle of re-setting everything. It worked for me. My battery life is about the same as before the lollipop update.
I did this, will see if it helps, thank you

When you do a factory reset will all your apps, contacts, etc be restored? I'm scared of losing my pics and everything.

If you back up all your contacts pictures and music they will all come back. I had my music on Google Music my pictures on my SD card. Contacts backed up on the cloud. I lost nothing when I did a Factory reset. All of my apps started reinstalling. So no issues.

Yeah, as long as you keep your app data synced, the majority of them should reinstall after signing into your Google account after your FDR.

What exactly is app data?
To me, it would be the users personal data associated with the app, but I didn't think that we could back that up.

Correct. I should have been more specific. I was replying to Preach2k's comment

in which most of your apps will reinstall. But you won't have that particular apps "saved data" such as saved game levels, saved app settings etc

Sorry if it sounded like I was jabbing you. I was not.
The wording in the system is what had me confused.
In prior O.S.'s didn't they label backed up apps as just apps?
