Lockscreen won't work on incredible help!!

My lockscreen won't let me put any type of password on. Please help me if you know how to fix this or if you had the same problem

Have you tried a reboot or battery pull? Try setting it to no security, reboot the phone, and try setting it up again. I had a problem with my pattern. Reboot fixed the problem with no problems since.
