Locking message app to memory

So I use Handcent SMS for my messaging app and I was wondering if I check the box under "lock messaging app to memory" would that lock the default or handcent? Or does it not matter what messager is locked as long as at least one is?

Doesnt matter and it'll lock the default application. its there so that you dont lose any incoming messages due to memory
