Does anyone have a complete list of the stock apps that came on the Droid X, or bloatware as some call it. So far I have this

    CarDock
    CityID
    My Verizon
    Skype
    Visual Voice Mail
    Amazon mp3
    Blockbuster
    3G Mobile Hotspot
    Corporate Directory
    Text Messages
    News

this can include things like the Text Message "app" which I guess would be more of a phone function than an app. But basically everything that comes stock/factory in your app drawer before you install anything else.

    Thanks in advance.

I think its best to just freeze them. You will need them later on when you do an update. Unless of course you create a back up of the entire stock rom.

I removed "Blockbuster" from my DX when I rooted.

I unrooted, and now I'm trying to install the OTA Gingerbread update, and it's failing every time.

Is there a way to get Blockbuster back?

If you are running Gingerbread you can uninstall City ID (without rooting).

I removed some of the stock apps like Madden NFL and City ID....is this why my phone is downloading the update and not installing? How do I fix this?

Having the same problem...only it's Need For Speed that I am missing, and it's not on the list of Droid X apps that is linked in this thread. I have a stock since purchase X...just uninstalled NFS after a few months because I never used it...until now I guess.

Is there any other way to get the trial Need For Speed apk that came with the X? Can anyone send it to me or provide a link for it...I hope that's ok to ask...if not, I apologize. I just really would like to try and get GB up and running without having to start from scratch.

His link to where I am doesn't have any thing....I think I might just backup everything to my SD card and do a factory reset.

Will doing a factory reset reinstall those apps that were previously deleted...like the NFS app, etc...?

No, a factory reset will just erase all of your "data." It does not restore anything. You will have to SBF to get everything back the way it was when you unboxed your DX.

Agreed...sort of strange that we would be "allowed" to uninstall an app like NFS but still have to have it on our X to be able to utilize system updates...doesn't make sense to me.

I swear that I was able to install Froyo after I had gotten rid of NFS...maybe I'm dreaming, but pretty sure that's the case. I would think that it would be the same for GB, but I guess not.
