the only way to tell the difference is the sticker inside the battery compartment. If your original one is the one you purchased I would keep that one. If there both refurbs it really doesn't matter. I hope that helps

The original phone was the one i purchased about 9 months ago. The replacement was sent only because of the radio issue. In looking at the sticker inside the battery compartment the old and new phone stickers look identical except for the IMEI numbers, does this mean they sent me a new phone?

I assume you are saying that if if was refurbished it would be noted on that sticker?

Replacement phone did not fix the problem. Works well for about 3 days and then starts having trouble sending texts. Not sure why.

Verizon knows there is a problem. Talked with them at length last Friday. They, like us, are waiting for a patch.
