Just installed this to my D1 from Motorola... CM7 really started lagging badly after a month or less, and had to constantly use a memory cleanup tool.

All I have to say is... WOW. What a difference! So glad I took the plunge!

Try going into Liquid Settings > Sound > and then check "Silent State." I think that should do what you are looking for.

From what I remember when I helped you out before you have a Droid X correct? I would guess you are getting this error because you are using the wrong version of clockwork for whichever ROM you are trying to restore. What version of clockwork do you have installed and which ROM do you want to restore?

He is using a DX if I remember correctly, which means CWM. The DX is such a pain to keep track of everything especially after they ported CM7 to it and all the ROMs based off of it blew up onto the scene. Two versions of CWM and different ways to get into them, what a mess it is lol.

Completely understandable. I just happen to remember helping bobbypatel a few times and them having a DX. Or I just think they do each time I assist and they are just sick of me giving bad advice by now :p

The wifi on my D2 was great with 3.2, but the automatic dimming and backlighting is broken.

Sent from my DROID2 using DroidForums

No worries, I was just messing with metalspring anyway.

And believe it or not I kind of figured that's the situation you were in but wanted to hear for sure. The reason that is happening is because you made the nandroid you want to restore with bootstrap which uses CWM 2.5.0.8. That back up can not be restored with CWM 5.0.2.0 because they changed the scripting for the newer versions. Try using ROM Manager to flash the older version and see if you can boot into it from liquid, if you can restore from there.

another question. I have the Droid X here in the house too. It is not rooted right now.

    A) isnt there a one touch root for the X?

    B) if i root, i should be able to use the link in this thread and install the liquid ROM on it, correct?

Not sure if the Force Close is a normal bug or not since I am on the DX but you could always try reflashing the ROM.

As far as the DX yes there is a one-click root which you need a computer for. And as long as you download the correct file yes you can flash liquid 3.2.
