ChevyNo1 lv, 7 slot, 1.1. Wifi works fine for me, it's all I'm using (out of 3G recepcion).
I believe it has to do with 2.3.4, If I'm not wrong Liquid said at some point several other ROMs were affected by that issue not only his.
On the plus side though, when the market provider code is not set you can download the other version of skype mobile, the non-verizon one, which allows you to use skype through wifi. I thought that was cool..
Try em both, I would first try the CorCor Elite series v2...
losing hope, tried dang near every kernel and wifi still turns off.can't get any of corcors to work off of the Project Elite forum. it boots up but freezes soon as home screen pops up
What temp would you say is cool? Around 80F?
I usually aim for between 80 and 90 degrees and consider that my normal operating temp. Under heay use I usually spike to around 100.
Haha so i guess i do run cool. Cuz im around 80F and i think thats hot cuz i feel it on my fingers. I dont like feeling the heat. Thats why i have been searching for kernels. Trying out the new ChevyNo1 kernels that released today
Yeah I would say you are doing pretty good then. I just double checked my phone right now, I havent been using it much and its at 82.2 degrees.
So I just flashed from pete's GPA15 build, wiped data/cache/system, everything seems to work fine, but i'm having trouble changing the boot animation back to red droid eye. it says working, "multiple apps" get superuser permissions, but it just keeps going until i get a force close message...is it more involved than simply going into liquid settings and choosing a the animation?
I'm having the same issue and tried multiple kernels with no success. I really liked 1.92 except for this issue that just bugged the crap out of me. I had the same issue on 1.9. I wish I could find a fix, but until something is found I am back to 1.85.
I had the same wifi problem, and reinstalled 1.92 after doing 'wipe all' in Recovery literally ten times in a row. That worked and let me use the stock kernel with wifi, which I had never been able to do. If you can get stock working, make a Nandroid backup and then try flashing another kernel.
For those with the wifi issue, static IP usually works but can be a nightmare if you bounce between multiple networks. There is a free market app though that will set up multiple static IP accounts and will automatically switch between networks. It is called Wifi Static and has solved this problem for me on both the stock kernel and chevy's.
