You could try locking slacker in memory if that's easier for you liquid settings>general>lock activities

I actually ran supercharge and it looks like it cleared up the issue. You sir win the game today.

I'd actually be interested in learning more about supercharge, such as which setting to use. Only one i've used so far is 00M Grouping.

    Thanks again for the help.

I know th minfree manager settings where changed in 1.9 compared to 1.8, the forground app, visible app & secondary server catagories were all lowered significantly, interesting, now you got me re-thinking.

So, am I understanding you correctly in assuming you simply flash the new ROM, sign into google and then let the market install all of your previous apps (minus a few)??

I think it can just be chocked up to "all phones are not created equal"...i follow the same procedure to flash ROMs every time too, and sometimes they work sometimes they dont. it's not as if I'm trying new ways everytime :D

1.85 was the best ROM i've ever tried, 1.9 was one of the worst...yet there's plenty of people who say 1.9 is awesome, so i've gotta assume it's something with individual phones

I'm finding 1.9 to be excellent and I haven't done a pre-flash-data-wipe since 1.7 . That said, I am running the original corcor67 smartmod v1 .25-.9 lv kernel (because it consistently gives best battery temps. corcor67 v2, alternate chevies, stock all run hot on my phone). And I'm running v6 supercharger option 8, which so far (about an hour) really makes things super snappy, we'll see.

I'm no model for "doing things" by the book. I usually take the laziest path first (see first paragraph). If things go well, I'm good. As things start getting funky... battery temps, force closes, etc.. etc... ,I start back tracking. Fix Perms, clear cache first... then if all else fails, I'll go back and do the full shootin' match... wipe data, cache 3x... flash rom, etc...

In the end, I'm just happy to have a phone that allows a broad spectrum of tinkering, and I'm freakin' really stoked to have found Liquid ROMs.
