Having said that, if JRummy and Kejar decide to abandon Liberty 2.0 in favor of starting work on a new Gingerbread-based ROM, I'm all for that!

I'm a noob and I still haven't flashed my first rom. I downloaded 1.5 yesterday but haven't installed it yet. I guess I should wait for the update huh? Also is there a place to download d2 bootstrap? I have rm but I heard that d2 bootstrap was better. I could always pay the two bucks! Thanks for any help. I know I can count on these forums for help when I finally get the balls to flash!

i don't think the april fools part was in refference to the rooted gingerbread. it was in response to dave saying liberty was ceasing operations.

You need Droid 2 bootstrap to flash a rom. Its the only way to get to custom recovery. Rom manager is effectively useless on this phone. Keep researching.

Good to know. Now should I uninstal rm? Will clockwork be erased as well? Does d2 bootstrap have clockwork? I totally know these may sound like dumb questions, but I want to learn and of course not f up my phone.
