Here's another bit of LG intel. According to the latest rumor, LG's mobile payment system, LG Pay, will not be making a showing at Mobile World Congress this year. LG Pay is obviously designed to compete with Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and others, but the word on the street is that LG may not have enough "clout" to get the sweet deals with the credit card companies just yet.
Because of this, LG will renew the focus of their event on the G5 and possibly some other products. We aren't too broken up about that here. The LG Pay concept still uses a plastic card for its payment scheme. It's reminiscent of services like Stratos or Coin. While it would still be handy to have all of your credit cards consolidated onto one card, it still seems like a half-measure compared to just moving toward getting rid of them altogether. What do you folks think?
