It certainly looks like the mobile device makers are getting more focused on the naming conventions of their devices. They apparently have learned from the fiasco in 2010-2011 when there were a dozen or more different Android devices floating around for consumers to keep track of. Samsung has their Galaxy Series as their Premium brand, while HTC has their One series as their premium brand. Now LG is following suit by solidifying a simpler naming convention with the "G" series.

Just as we reported previously in numerous rumors, LG has officially confirmed that their new flagship will be called the LG G2, and from now on all of their premium products will utilize the "G" series nomenclature. In a recent press release, LG’s president and CEO Dr. Jong-Seok Park said, “Our vision is to make LG’s newest G devices synonymous with excellence, raising the bar even further for the ultimate in user experience.”
