LG just dumped a beastly new gladiator into the phablet arena last night. It appears they just couldn't wait to reveal it any longer, and officially announced their LG G Pro 2. This 5.9-inch behemoth includes gorgeous aesthetics and amazing hardware.

Here's a quote from their press release with the full breakdown of features and specs:

As you can see, not only have they included some phenomenal specs, they have also really upped their game in the camera and multimedia department. LG included some of the most advanced features a smartphone camera has ever possessed! It looks like the Galaxy Note series finally has some very strong competition!

We don't yet know pricing and availability, but will update you with that info as soon as we find out anything concrete.

What's up with this feature? Mini View: Enables users to comfortably use the G Pro 2 with one hand by shrinking the display to a size ranging from 3.4 inches to 4.7 inches, depending on the user’s preference

Is that a cover that goes on over the phone so that you can use the Mini View?

With a 5.9-inch screen, this phone might give some good competition to the Note3. I wonder when we'll actually see this device release over here?

sounds/looks like it's a software feature that shrinks the screen real estate

I really hope LG doesn't become like Samsung and start releasing 20 new devices every year. I would like to personally see how they follow up the G2.

I was expecting a larger battery for this beast of a phone.

The battery is big enough, and it is replaceable, so why sweat it, and since it has a 1080p screen and not a QHD screen it should hold up well.

Love it that LG just keeps jumping in the ring with Sammy and comes out punching. Looks like a great phone.

Very interesting that they have gone retro and included micro SD w/replaceable battery. Emulating the Note 3?
