LG just announced that they have shipped 10 Million L-Series smartphones this year. This includes phones like the Optimus L3, Optimus L5, Opitimus L7, and Optimus L9. Interestingly, even though this is a pretty great achievement for them, they only consider it a "modest milestone" (in their own words). In a sea of mobile that is dominated by Apple and Samsung, we think that's a bit better than a "modest milestone," but we applaud them for their modesty. :)

    Here's the full press release,

I like how they manage to take subtle jabs at Samsung (their main Korean competitor) by insinuating their phones borrow from Apple.

"...LG Proves That Not All Smartphones Need to Look Alike" and "...consumers want attractive smartphones with distinctive -- not “me too” -- styling."

    Ouch! :D
