Whenever i try and install a theme for LFY my phone stops re-boot on the "M" screen and i have to use the nandroid recovery to get the phone working again.

I had UD and tried installing a theme for it and it did the same...

    any ideas ??

I'm not real familiar with the Eris but my sense is the rom/theme combination is not compatible with the Eris.

Thanks for the clarification. What steps are you taking when you try to add the theme? The first thing that come to mind are you wiping data and cache?

You only wipe before installing a rom. A theme goes right over a rom. Don't wipe anything before installing a theme. Boot into recovery then install zip from sd card then find theme file where ever it is stored. You have to use themes supported by your rom and rom version.
