Leeching off wifi tether?

    I am away from home and the hotel I am at does not have internet. Is it possible for others to "leech" off my wifi tether? Eww.. leeches are nasty!

    Just go into settings and change the ssid name to somethin like EffOffLeechers then set a password lol

    Edit: mine is named p0wningapple haha

    You can set it up as a password protected network.

    Thanks guys for showing me how easy it is to be inattentive to detail. But man I love this phone. It truly does so much.

    I had this same issue as well... except it was my cheep azz neighbors that do not want to pay for internet. (wait.. I'm cheep to haha thats why I use WiFi tether) Anywho... I set a password. And changed the SSID to VirusAlert

    just careful because some netgear wireless usb adapters do not connect to the droid when it has a password set.

    edit:in case you are connecting to the droid using an usb adapter

    Lol, anybody else have any good clever names for their SSID? My buddy who has an iphone "wasn't impressed" with the wireless tether. He asked, "Is the speed any good though?" I told give a shot.... afterwords he was like man that is pretty quick for coming off your Droid lol
