Samsung Galaxy S4 users will be happy to learn that Samsung is currently working Kit Kat 4.4.2 for the Galaxy S4! Although Kit Kat has been out since last year it is nice to see that the Samsung continues to focus on updating the S4 even with the S5 release imminent. SamMobile has done some dirty work on our behalf and has obtained a fresh copy of a KitKat 4.4.2 Test Firmware "build I9505XXUFNA1" for the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505). According to SamMobile Kit Kat should be releasing for the S4 in February or March. This test build is already pretty stable with only a few noticeable bugs. An instantly noticeable change in the touchwiz UI is the swap from the Gingerbread green status bar to an all new White Kit Kat status bar. SamMobile says that the test build gives the S4 a slight performance bump which is apparent in benchmark tests. Other changes include an updated and improved keyboard and a camera button from the lockscreen.

This is for the international European variant of the Galaxy S4. If you do decide to flash this leaked build be sure that you have the correct variant first. This is not official firmware so their will be bugs. This will not void your warranty or increase the binary counter. To flash you will need to download the file from the source link below, extract the file, restart phone in download mode, add the file to AP in Odin, be sure re-partition is not checked, click the start button, if you encounter a bootloop be sure to wipe data in recovery, Then enjoy the new leaked Kit Kat 4.4.2 for your Galaxy S4.
