With the latest Droid update I noticed something that annoys me. When I finish using the internet browser I always kill it with task killer. Even after I kill it, when I open the browser it is back at the last website and not the homepage. How do I get it back at the homepage by default.

Try dolphin hd. Use the exit button. Don't kill tasks.

Stop using a task killer. Back out of the browser.

Not a good way to do it either. I have noticed this as well.
Close the browser and next time I use it it is on the same page yet pages like news sites and such have updated in the mean time using data when it is supposed to be dormant or not in use.

Worse I usually use my browser to read the news and tech sites and this site. So to back it out can be a ton of pages and not a good way to get it to close properly at all.

Hopefully there will be a solution soon as this is annoying.

If you want to prevent this from happening, just back up to the main page. It has happened before the update.

Or with the browser open, hit the menu key and select Windows. Close all of the windows shown. It will then open your home page.
