A new report has surfaced suggesting that Larry Page, the CEO and co-founder of Google, may be suffering from some health issues. He was not at Google's most recent shareholder metting, and Google's Chairman Eric Schmidt, indicated it was due to a voice condition. What makes this even stranger is that Google also said Page would not be at the Google I/O developer conference next week, nor would he be attending the company’s second-quarter earnings call in July, until his voice recovers. Here's a quote with additional details,

JP Morgan analyst Doug Anmuth on Friday pondered to clients whether or not the CEO’s health problem is being downplayed by Google.

“Co-founder and CEO Larry Page was not present at the shareholder meeting,” Anmuth wrote in a note to investors on Friday. “Google indicated that he had lost his voice and was unable to speak at the meeting, and also that he would not be speaking at next week’s Google I/O developer conference or the company’s 2Q earnings call.”

The analyst continued, “We have no specific reason to think there is anything more to Larry’s condition, but we find it odd that the company would already rule him out of the 2Q call which is likely still a few weeks away. We think this could raise some questions among investors. We note that Larry does not appear to have posted on Google+ since May 25.”

This seems eerily similar to what happened at Apple with Steve Jobs. Still, there is probably no reason to read more into it than is necessary. Perhaps he simply has a bad case of strep...

Keep it respectful.

Being a ceo of a large company comes with its fair of stress and its bound to take a toll on the human body. For as much as I would love the perks of being a ceo I dont think I would want the stress.

Yeah, stress can eat you alive... it sucks because stress breeds more stress. Its a vicious cycle. Its not pleasant. And going.away on a vacation only makes it worse, cause type A's usually are very hands on and need to be there... where the action is.

I definitely couldn't handle the stress and pressure. I'm sure I'd easily have panics attacks if I was a CEO for something like Apple or Google. I'm sure it's hard enough to be one for smaller companies even if it's your own business.
