I'm using BB 0.2.1. I'm not sure if the LWP lagging because of the launcher pro or the current Froyo Rom? Do you guys know why it is causing to lag so much?

Did you have problems in other 2.2 ROMs? LWPs give me bad lag on all 2.2 ROMs, even when OC'd to 1GHz.

They're always been laggy, even when OC'd. I think they're just too resource intensive.

If you must run a LWP, I suggest you disable all window and transition animations.

I've used most 2.1 and 2.2 ROMs, always OCed to 1.25ghz, and live wallpapers have always caused too much lag for me. I just don't think it was meant to be on the Droid.

LWP typically cause me no problems on 2.1 ROMs, only 2.2. Running BB 1.1 @ 1GHz and most of them are smooth.

Yes but what about when you try to open the app drawer? My animations themselves run fine but it severely impacts the performance of the rest of the UI.

That's what I meant when I said they cause lag. The live wallpapers run just fine, but it slows everything else (especially the app drawer) to an unacceptable speed.
