The newest Android tab in Amazon's lineup just started shipping today. For quite a few weeks now we have had access to the 7-Inch Kindle Fire HD. Now the 8.9-inch variety is heading out to consumers. The new Kindle Fire HD 8.9 inch boasts some solid specs, and of course full access to Amazon's excellent content and ecosystem. It's main standout feature is the 1920x1200 display resolution, and a very competitive price of just $299.99. The 4G version of this device isn't quite ready for launch yet. Amazon worked closely with AT&T to offer the most affordable 4G tablet data package.
