i just switched over from the iPhone to the Droid. While i'm happy i made the switch i'm trying to figure out if there is any easy shortcut way to go from typing letters to a number or punctation without having to press the "12#" button. With the iPhone you could hold your finger down on the equivalent of the "12#" button which would switch to the numbers and while keeping your finger on the screen slide it to the number (or puncuation you want) and then release it. It would insert the number you want and then automatically flip back to the keyboard. I know with the Droid you can hold down certian keys for a second and get the "secondary" symbol or number on that key. but it's somewhat slow. any other ideas?
