Keyboard Problems

Okay, first DF post =].
DROID 1 :motdroidhoriz:
ROM: Charity
KERNEL: ChevyNo1's 1.1Ghz

Problem: The backlight on my keyboard and soft buttons will not light up. When I unlock the phone the lights turn on for a plit second then shut off. When I cycle the brightness setting, the lights remain on until I slide my keyboard or lock my phone.

Things I've Tried:

-battery pull
-factory resets
-different ROMs
-apps

Any new information would be excellent. Thanks in advance =]

How long has this problem been going on?

And how long have you been using your current rom and kernel?

I switched to muiu (when lights stopped), then to charity. I've been running charity for a couple days.
