keyboard not responding

I am new to the droid and I have only had it for one day, but I am having a problem with the keyboard on the screen not responding, it has worked fine all day until about an hour ago and now I have to tap really hard on the screen to get it to type, I cleaned the screen and rebooted the phone but nothing seems to help. Appreciate any input. Thank you in advance

I tried a battery pull but that didn't change anything

just got off the phone with verizon and they are sending me a new phone. Hope this isn't a trend of things to come. Have only had my phone for two days

probably just a bad unit. sorry to hear, but glad you're getting your Droid replaced.
