So, I've spent 3 nights trying to get the GB kernel to come up in TWRP/Safestrap.

And while its close (screen is right size, but some color/brightness issues), it's not working yet.

It occurs to me that, I could use the same version of Safestrap as the RAZR,D4 and Bionic if I use the kexec kernel to load recovery.

Downsides:
- Potential instability in recovery (I kind of doubt this one as there are no memory or suspend/resume issues to deal with in recovery)
- Longer wait time to enter recovery during the kexec

Upside:
- Easier updates, as this way the recoveries are the same for all of our phones. Already TWRP has v2.3 out and post Safestrap v3.0 release, I will incorporate those changes (Moved to Jellybean recovery code).
- Perfect display and touch screen handling.

Thoughts?

Hash is a perfectionist for sure...he will find a way to make it right. I'm still excited to see the new Safestrap and any ICS/JB builds!!!

I hope he gos with option 2 I don't mind waiting alittle bit for bootup into recovery..I think if we had the same recovery as d4 and bionic it would just ensure our version would stay current with the others

I'm guessing he'll go that route as it will make things easier all around.
