    I've heard a lot about flashing different kernels but i haven't heard anyone mention what they are or what they do. So i'm curious..... what are they and what do they do?!

    The important bits to worry about with the Droid kernels are, in NO particular order -- compache, processor slot speeds, voltage, and Android version. :)

    Before you go flashing, look into each of these things and decide what you need, don't need, want, and if it's compatible with your ROM. As in, don't EVER flash a FroYo kernel to an Eclair build and vice versa. :)
