Test driving 1ghz LV right now.

No ill effects evident, added about 400 points to the quadrant benchmark.

Could be me but it might be running a wee bit hotter than gpa stock kernel, however I've not seen any temperature high enough to worry about.

I'm gonna wait till GPA15 hits stable to try these out. I hope these are worth it.

with all the ported bug fixes and features, there is no reason to not try these out. they are the most advanced droid kernels to date. give them a go until the others catch up (kang) lol

In the past 30mins I've seen a high/low temp of 45/27. I did reboot a few times in the span on a few minutes, which could easily account for the high of 45. Just checked temp while writing this > 32°C, pretty normal.

Quadrant was 800ish on stock gpa kernel, now hitting 1200 range.

Same kernel as 15 builds, but with more freq slots right?

I was curious as to your choice of freq scaling on the 1ghz kernel. Any reason not to ditch 900000 and make a 125000 low end?

Just downloaded the lv 1GHz. Running smooth so far, SetCPU widget reflects correct frequencies when profile changes. It was slow to change before

I made a few changes from the gpa15 kernel. Not sure what you are asking but if I were you I would use no less or more than 250 as min and whatever you want as max (if your phone can handle it). I have seen some set the min to 400 or 500, that is pointless. Use 250, no reason to have your phone idle at anything above that, you will just be killing battery.

What I meant was, any reason not to under clock lower to 125mhz?

Like take the 900 slot out and add a 125 low end.

I know some people were saying 125 was affecting the phone waking up, but I never had a problem when running a kernel with a 125 low end.

Seemed to save a couple hours of battery for me.

Oh I see, yeah the 125 slot for most was too low to run processes at idle. It all depends on what apps you have running on your phone. The voltage differences are negligible at those low slots though. The 800MHz kernel has that slot if you would like it.

Cool, I like the 1ghz though. Seems like a good fit. :)

Thanks for the info and keep up the good work.

Only reason I don't want to is because no one can tell me what stuff I don't need in these kernels (the ext2/3/4 files specifically). I've never done this and I don't want to totally bork my phone.

I dont need most of the extra stuff but it causes no harm having it there. If they are not used it is taking up no resources. Flash away and enjoy.
