1st kernel of the kernel thread is:

    125/250/600/800/1000-stock voltage.
    swap enabled.
NAND Prefetch enabled (for real this time).
wifi tethering enabled (for real this time).
    tun support.

Like my other packages, install it like the ROM. If using sprecovery, please rename it to update.zip.

What exactly do 'Swap', 'NAND prefetch' and 'TUN' do, and how do we enable them?

    Sorry for my ignorance. :/

They are already enabled, one of them as a module.

So, in short, without getting into the nitty gritty of it all, NAND Prefetch is a performance enhancer.
tun.ko is a driver needed for OpenVPN. So it adds another type of VPN support to the Droid.
swap support is kind of like it sounds, it supports a swap file/paritition, if you make one. I've not done this, and don't plan to, but I left it an option for those who may want to.

    Awesome!

I keep hearing about the swap stuff (Apps2Sd and such) but it still seems really iffy, so I have held off. I wasn't sure if that was what you were referring to... but now I know.

    Thanks for the explanation! :)

Apps2SD is a little, well ok ,a lot different. I've not been real keen of diving into that stuff because of the majority of us have class 2 SD cards...and I just don't know how they would fare performance wise. Call me lazy, I've just never checked.

to clarify. apps2sd will work on your class 2 sd card. truthfully though you really wont get much benefit from using it. thats just my personal opinion/experience

awesome kernel I just updated it from my stock ese81 kernel. I had been using chevy's kernels and ss 2.2, but all of a sudden it started giving me force closes all the time and I flashed to the stock ese81 with root and such, but couldn't find a oc kernal that got me past a boot loop. So far it seems super snappy. I may try your rom too I'll decide tonight. Only problem seems to be it takes a while to boot up because helix launcher force closes once I force close it problem seems to go awat so sinve I only turn it off maybe once every couple of days it's not even something to worry about fixing unless it gets worse for me. Can't wait to see some faster oc speeds tho. Great work thank you very much

Does this kernel enable CPU temp monitoring? Great work by the way. Love the Rom.
