yep, the cpu has to run many more cycles to perform a task, but the number of tasks it is receiving is still the same. it has to work overtime to catch up

totally see it now. I'm using (settings via terminal) 250/550 ondemand.

I saw somewhere that you use interactive?

Why interactive vs ondemand? Your thoughts?

IMO, interactive provides a smoother user experience, it is quick to scale up and down, much faster than ondemand is to scale up. its all personal preference. to me, battery life is not all about voltage and speed, its about how much you use your phone, sure there is a difference between 600mhz and 1100mhz in standby time, but its not really that great. if you use the heck out of your device (lets say repeated quadrant runs) at 600mhz, it may go dead in a few hours. If you do the same at 1100mhz it may go dead half an hour before? To me, the battery life gained from running slower isn't worth it.

    So I'm using 250/550 ondemand.

Considering the kernel is 125/600, it doesnt matter that I use terminal to cap it at 550 does it?

When are u going to make kernels that support Gingerbread. I get USB issues using this with LiquidGingerbread 1.92. It used to work well..

    Excellent point !!

I have pondered the theory when running at a lowe / slower vs higher / faster speed & the trade offs, such as slower speed its going to take a little longer taxing the cpu longer, vs a higher faster speed will take the task a little less time as then using a comparison of an automobile going a predetermined distance at idle speed is going to take much longer than vs the same distance at half throttle = less time, but which is going to use less fuel, probably at idle, but is it really going to be that much less since it had to run longer to cover the same distance, so there are trade offs either way....just sum more andom thoughts...

Why don't the ROM dev's fix the issues in the ROM and not rely on patched kernels... Liquid said he fixed it.
