I personally think that the default kernel that comes with liquid is good, the dev makes good choices so we don't have to :D

The kernel that gave me the best battery life was CorCor76's rmod. But as Sonic said the default is usually going to give you the best results... usually.

Well so far I have not tried any alternate kernels only the stock one, am I correct in my understanding that 1.8 has a fix in it that the usb issues are no longer & any kernel should be compatible?

I will say however that just prior to switching over to Liquid, the previous rom I was just starting to run Petes v.02 release kernel (once i found out that "time in state" was enabled in that release as that is a pre-requiset for any kernel before i will even try it) anyway I was getting some of the best battery life i had ever seen with any GB rom.

pete's LV 1GHz .02 runs cool and gets just as good battery life as the Sapphire 600MHz.
runs his rom better than pete's stock GB.
