Many of you are familiar with my kernels and most of you can run even up to 1.25 with no issues. A few of you can't. It is you that I am looking for, to test for me. I have a couple of users running a 1G kernel no issues. I have a 1.1 I just finished, and need testers. This is an update.zip format, so copy to your sdcard and install via SPRecovery. Thanks in advance for those that help out!

Ok all it did was it first started to load then rebooted, then it froze at the M and stayed there.
Went back to old kernal everything works fine.

OK, so this 1.1 worked for neither of you ... interesting, I've been running it for 2 hours now, not a single issue - definitely seems like QC issues with some of these units

I would believe so. My phone has never been able to get to 1.1 on any kernel and it has been hit and miss on other kernels as to wither 1Ghz would be supported. So I would believe that there are def differences in QC here. I am happy that I am at almost 2x the original speed.

So it seems a 1G kernel is the upper limit for a few folks ... and most can run the 1.25. Those might be my two kernels .. will try one more 1.1 for you guys though

Actually, I got this one to boot for me and it runs great as long as I keep setCPU at 1Ghz. As soon as I move it to 1.1 the phone locks up.

Chevy I am running your 1.1 you have posted over in your ROM thread and my phone runs it fine no problems, and I was one of the ones having all kinds of problems with new kernels on the old 2.0.1 roms. I think I might try your 1.25 and see if my phone will take it. Even when I flashed Taz's old 1.3ghz kernel he made I could get my phone to boot but it was very unstable once it did so.

*EDIT* do you have a link to just a 1.25ghz kernel??

I never went about 800mhz on your previous kernals. Running the new BB 2.1 rom released today, and unsure which kernal to put on the droid.....

When I get the time I will put a concise list together of the various kernels - just slammed right now and can't get the notes together
