RE: the speeds on the kernels:

Are those the MAX speeds, or the required speeds?

Meaning, if I download a 1ghz kernel can I still clock my Droid at 800mhz to start, and then bump it up if it's stable, or am I locked to 1ghz top end?

Noobish question I know, but I'm new to this.

You are correct, the # listed is the MAX speed. You can use something like SetCPU to adjust to your liking :)

Awesome, and thanks for the quick reply.

Just installed SS 4.6 and I see it comes with a 1ghz kernel. Time to get some SetCPU and see what this bad boy can do!

Also there are different "Slot" kernels 5 & 7 so if you have a five slot kernel you will have 5 slots to choose from as far as setting your CPU's minimum and maximum ie: 200/400/600/800/1000 and the 7 slot will have the same concept just 7 slots
