I am looking to improve my droid, I'm running the stock kernel that comes with 7.0.2 I've got it up to 800mhz and I'm looking to improve my benchmark. Anyway, I've never used kernel manager but am willing to try it. But I wanted some opinions on different kernels and what may improve my benchmarks. Thanks guys.

I'm obviously a noob. I am attempting to figure out how to unlock "nand". Apparently this is my problem with installing Prime's kernel. Booted into recovery, searched around and couldn't locate it. Please help me out I'd appreciate it.

You can mount to your PC while in recovery and move it to your sdcard from your computer.

Otherwise just make sure its in a folder you can recognize when you are in recovery.

Are you using Clockwork recovery or sprecovery?

clockwork recovery, honestly today was the first time I've booted into recovery and I've been usuping cyanogen roms fo a couple months. My main issue is that I'm unaware of where the "nand" lock is. When I try to flash a kernel the error message asks "is your phone nand locked(s-on)?

    Hmm. That's strange.

The kernel is in standard update.zip format yes?

    Is your phone a milestone?

That's why. Your phone is not nand unlocked. Pretty sure you cannot change the kernel...

Damn, so there are apparently different versions of this phone that are nand unlocked then? So I'm assuming the reason I cannot locate any info on how to do this is simply because the milestone is incapable?

    Correct.

The A853 (Australia version) and the A854 are both signed bootloaders.
