Kernel for ESD56?

Okay so lately i have been having a lot of GPS issues so i decided to go back to stock 2.01 and root it and maybe try to put an OC'ed kernel on there... i am looking for a kernel for the ESD56.....

also would i be able to root 2.01 then do an update to 2.1 and use it OC'ed?

I actually just tried to put the kernel i used to nexbeast but then i realized that the kernel was for 2.1... so any one that can help provide a kernel for ESD56 that would be greatly helpful.

What ROM are you or do you plan on using? Most any that you get now are going to be ESE53 or ESE81. Both of which are 2.1, there is a version of the OTA 2.1 that's got root access already. You won't be able to do the official update and remain rooted. I would check the hack section and each of the devs subforums for more info. Good luck and if you have anymore questions just ask.
