Kensington Pocket Battery for Smartphones

Anyone have this? Does yours work?

I got one from amazon today, because it looked awesome. It's about the size of a deck of cards, but thinner, and far lighter. It has both Mini USB and Micro USB plugs.

Unfortunately, it won't charge my Droid (Bugless, 0.4) via the Micro USB cable. It does charge my wife's dumbphone via Mini USB.

So I guess I'm wondering whether the Micro USB cable is hosed, or the device just won't charge the Droid. It's output rated at 5V, 1.0A. Can anyone think of a reason why this shouldn't charge the Droid?

5.1V/850mA is the rating on the charger that came with my Droid, so that charger should be more than enough, it seems.
