    And I'm running the TeamChaos Rom with the froyo 2.2 but how do you install custom kernals and overclock?

    easiest way is to use rom manager

    I'm using one and paid for an overclock app and it doesnt seem to help

    if you're using setcpu ,you need to let it auto detect your speed then adjust the slider accordingly..if it won't go any higher than 550 or 600mhz then you're not using an overclocked kernal.

    If u download a kernel u will definitely see a difference ..
    Congrats on the root..you have came to the right place...

    Took it upon myself to spend the entire second half of my day at work yesterday to root 2.1, then flash the FRF84B Froyo ROM and mess around with my phone. Couldn't be happier. Got a lot to learn about the ins and outs of root customization and stuff, but so far so good!
