Just received an email for bitbop video streaming!!

    Has anyone tried this app yet for Android? Downloading it now...

    Saweet! You can download or stream content or que for download later. Nice format - oops - won't stream. I'll try to download...

    ...ok, got it working! I was not prompted to login, had to go to settings menu then input my email and password: bitbop1 - seems real nice quality. Watching Arrested Development no lag, etc..

    ...There are currently 99 TV shows available to watch. It indicates movies will be available "on demand" soon.

    Do we currently have unlimited usage in the viewing department? That is what I am curious about.

    Yes, I watched several hours of programming last night. No limits were set. The option to download content is really what sets this app apart! It allowed me to watch a high quality show in an area where 1x signal is prevalent.

    So far, no force closes or any other problems. App is very solid, especially for a beta release!

    I tried several times at work on Wi-Fi on 3g and at Home Wi-fi and I have yet to be able to watch a video. Once you press Watch it changes the screen to landscape and then a bunch of text gets garbled in the middle of the screen. Nothing happens when I try and download the video.

    Please make sure you are signed in with the account information that you were sent in your beta invite and you will have unlimited viewing for the duration of the beta.

    Note: You should not have to put any credit card information on file to access the beta account.

    Bitbop Issues

    Yes Paula that was me, Thank you. I am happy to report that after uninstalling, rebooting and reinstall I can now see validating, determining connection and loading video but it will not stream. I left it for 10 minutes and still no video.

    Got an invite yesterday too. I could only watch like 2 minutes of any program before I got a play back error saying I had too many background tasts running or something (I had just rebooted so I doubt that). In any case, its nice and hopefully it starts to work better.

    Hi Paula, thanks for hanging out here and fielding our questions/issues.

    (1) I also got the text overlapping (garbled) screen at the start of viewing. Seems like exiting the app and restarting helps.

    (2) My preference is to download by wifi..but it seems very buggy. E.g., if you leave the download screen and come back, the clip that was in progress is no longer on the list. But if you reselect the clip, it typically continues where the download stopped.

    Is there a limit to the number of shows that can be stored via download, and is there a limit to the number that can be downloaded simultaneously?

    Well, I messed up and created a new account instead of using the password and login provided in the e-mail. But the app keeps reverting to the account that I set up and wants me to pay. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times and it keeps remembering the login I created, it there a way to start over with the app ?

    Settings / applications / bitbop / clear data should allow you to start over...

    Okay so Iwas watching a TV show on it and maybe 8 mins in it closes the shows and tells me there is an error with my account (said error 22) and to contact you guys to fix it. It still let me watch something else after that, so my account still works. It's just frustrating because I've tried to watch several shows since getting the invite, and I always get some sort of error near the beginning, so I dont feel like watching anything else since I assume it'll give me an error soon after. The errors usually consist of saying that there's too many resources running (even after a reboot) but this one was specifically directed at my account, so I figured I'd ask. I'm gonna try t watch another show and see how it goes.

    Yup, 3 minutes into another show and I got "Sorry, Bitbop encountered an error while downloading the video. Please try again later. Error code D13".

    I know this is a beta so there's bound to be issues, it just seems like everyone else can watch full episodes except me :(
