A buddy of mine has a car stereo shop and had these Soundgate M2 car mounts. Another friend has had one in his car for about a year now so I figured I'd give it a try.

The first pic is of the "puck" that you attach to the back of the phone. It is held on by 3M double sided tape so it could be attached to the phone or to any hard case that you might have.

The 2nd pic is of the mount's base, again mounted with the 3M tape. You can bend the metal mount to mold to the dash better to get a better grip.

The 3rd pic of the mount installed. The mount comes with detailed photo instructions to fill in the gaps of my pics.

The 4th and 5th pics are with my phone on the mount. The instructions want you to mount the phone so that phone is partially supported by the dash, but it seems to be fine as it is, even on the heavily washboarded dirt roads around here.

    Crutchfield has them

    Amazon has them as well.

Next up for me is to buy a couple of cables, a right angle Micro USB and right angle 1/8" cable to make a snake to run back to my center console for power and the factory Aux in jack. I plan on using a piece of 1/16" dia rod to make a "mount" for the cables so that they don't flop around the dash when not in use. May also include a magnet to trigger the car mode.

you might want to look into Blackberry bluetooth gateway. I just got one on ebay for 20 bucks. They sell them at Best Buy for $79:icon_eek:! Maybe Best Buy sells them with gold plate.

Anyway...I have a wired fm modulator with a 3.5mm jack. Once I get it hooked up to this bluetooth gateway I am going to tuck it away so that I can have one less wire running to and from my droid.

Yup, did that first thing the next morning :)

Bone stock besides the remote start and window tint, 2008 Accord exl 4 cyl, auto, leather interior with a mexican blanket on the back seat for the dog :) Right now the iPod is in the center console, but I may be hard wiring it to the radio soon.

It's the daily driver for now, but since the weather is getting nicer, the 63 Galaxie will get more more miles.

Seang, what screen is that in your pic? What app? I've been looking for a way to change the screen in the doc mode. Are you rooted?

Country roads and mud make a good cleaning a rare thing, once a month at most in the winter time, anything else is just a waste of a couple of hours around here.

Just thought I'd bump this thread to let people know you can get this mount for $4.24 each + $5 shipping from wiredforless.com right now.

    https://www.wiredforless.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SOUNDM2
use coupon codes WOOT and FRIEND15 to take $20 and 15% off.

I've been using one for the last couple weeks and love it. I just picked up 3 more for friends and gifts and paid about the same total price I paid for just the one I got earlier!
