I'm running Vista Home Premium and I just bought Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade. I want to install it as clean as possible. Can I install it and have the upgrade format my drive and partition it as it goes?

:) THANKS IN ADVANCE :)

Yes it has the option of installing over current settings or have it format and partition your hard drive prior to install. But be for-warned it will erase all data on the hard drive.

Did you WANT to format your partition, or just upgrade? The Windows 7 disk will work as an upgrade or clean install, even though it is just called upgrade. It will do an upgrade from Vista but not XP.

So if you want to upgrade and keep all of your current files, just start the process when logged into Windows. If you want to do a clean install, pop the disc in and restart the computer. Make sure you have "Boot from CD/DVD" on in your BIOS and hit a key when it asks you to during start up.

Hopefully that isn't too confusing!!
