Just got a fascinate, tried to sync contacts to Facebook, and lost all my contacts

I did some quick Google searches, only to discover after the fact that this has been a recurring issue. I clicked to sync my facebook contacts on my new Samsung Fascinate, and, while it was working, I went back to my contacts, and they are all gone.

I just got the phone today, and had all my contacts transferred from my old phone. Is there anything I can do to recover my contacts, or do I just need to head to the store again tomorrow to get them back? Any other thoughts or ideas? Thanks for your help!

Try running a sync of your backup assistant

This happened to me on my Droid X. The worst part was they were all GMail contacts, and it actually removed them from my gmail account!! Since they werent phone contacts, backup assistant never backed them up.
