I'm testing on 0.1 BB Froyo and guess what? Juice Defender does, in fact, work on it :) Just saying for those of you wanting to get the maximum amount of battery life. So... Yeah! Do it!

Im a big fan of juice defender. Even the basic - basic settings extend battery life by A LOT!

I tried it and had a hard time with the settings, basically what I want is that it only connects to 3G when I turn the screen on...

I'm running the second FRF57 stock Froyo. I installed the JD update late last night and a second update this morning from the market.

I initially thought that it wasn't working. When the setup tried installing the AOSP helper it couldn't, because I had disabled installation of non-market applications. JD sent me to that setting page, where I enabled non-market installs, and when I hit the back button it took me back to the JD setup page. After several seconds the setup resumed from where it left off, and it said that it would not work with my ROM.

After hearing here that JD was working I tried again and had the exact same problem. Then I decided to enable installation of non-market apps FIRST, then opening JD and trying setup again. It worked that time. That time it gave me the message "Mobile data control (root method) works".

I tried it but couldnt get the wifi to work correctly. It kept disabling it even though its a known hotspot (my home). Enabling wifi based on location was the thing i was most interested in.

I uninstalled it after playing around with it. Any issue with doing that? I read that some people started to have connectivity issues after the uninstall.

Check the developer's website. It's not ready for prime time yet for CDMA phones. It is in a public beta stage.

yes, I used it on 1.1 and am currently using it on the froyo 0.1 both cases it more than doubled my battery life.

Currently running BB Froyo 0.1 with chevy ultra low 1.2ghz kernel:
I usually take my phone off charger before I go to sleep at like 2am and when I get home from work 6-630pm next day Im still usually around 70-80% with decent amount of web browsing and lots of texts/phone calls.
