In looking to increase standard battery life, I installed these two apps. SeePU states (on the graph) that my CPU usgae is greater than 90 percent.

What causes the CPU to use this much even when the Droid is not being used? Thanks.

Try going to menu/settings/applications/running services or menu/settings/about phone/battery use and see whats been running. Also, do you have a task killer?

I just installed it and it didn't ask for root and didn't see it in the superuser log. But its not compatible with gingerbread rom's, so I can't say for sure.

I am running Liberty ROM and get between 19-26hrs on my battery with just my normal usage. If my battery life ever gets bad i am gonna start using JD because i do like the layout. It never asked me for root rights either so it must not require you to be rooted just like CJ said. Good app tho bailey
