JIT....do want

    ok ive posted a few questions with no solid help.
    can anyone point me to the way to install JIT without adb i have term emu just cant use adb rt now

    mount /system as rw (mount -o remount rw /system), copy the files from your sdcard (cp /sdcard/filename /system/filename), modify build.prop (use file editor), chmod 644 on dalvikvm (chmod 644 /system/dalvikvm), mount /system as ro, restart


    dalvikvm goes in /system/bin
    .so files go in /system/lib

    also there are some steps i dont get, can u post it step by step, sorry im still getting into all this

    Do you realize that right now, JIT is not going to speed up your phone? You might get some better benchmarks, but people are reporting slow downs on the Droid. If you are new to all this, I don't suggest messing with it.

    im not new to this i just like to understand something to its fullest and im a very quick learner, so im not getting in over my head yet

    i think its chmod 644 for lib so files
    755 for dalvikvm and 666 for build prop
    or am I missing something?

    seemed to work for me. used alldroids th3steves files.

    it will speed up some stuff. but I noticed browser slowdown.its much more complete for 2.1 and even then its like alpha maybe early beta test quality.

    im sorry i try and try im going to wait for a step by step if that happens. finaly got it stable at 1ghz running bugless beast, love my sholes, but to many fc. waiting patiently for sholes team to include this. they always pack the goodies us techies like
