Not sure looking into this one

So what was this? A leak? A mistake? A soak?
I hate how hush-hush Motorola and Verizon are about this stuff.
Has anyone noticed the kernel using this much battery

On my note 2 the android os is more like 10% and the kernel is around 15%.
Have you tried restarting?

My Foxfi didn't work either. I am now using pdanet "teathered." Works good.

Yeah, see http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...lly-bean-leak-classroom-w-mattyp-friends.html for the full explanation and procedure to accomplish the same.
Keeping root is a bit tricky but it is totally worth it!
I just took the plunge and updated. And jelly bean is very very smooth. Has anyone else noticed a speed update along with it? I was averaging about 13 mb up and 11 down on 4g. Right after I updated I'm pulling 24 mb up and 19 down on 4g in the same spot on my couch.
Is this a official final build from Verizon?

Indeed it is!
Its officially from Verizon but its not the final build... it was released on accident. Verizon is even sending replacement phones to people who downloaded it and it screwed up their phones.
