How's the GPS working? Any problems like on ics when it would search and search and never find your location? Or how you enable GPS but when you open Google maps the GPS icon doesn't even show in the status bar? GPS aids fixes the problem for me most of the time but I'm just wondering if jb fixes the GPS issue.

It seems to be fixed. I just got a fix in my house with metal roof in about 20 seconds. Much faster outside. I could not get a fix indoors at all on ICS.

Never had this issue, and haven't seen it get any worst..

Had my first issue. I'm on the GO Launcher, so I have the app to enable things like WI-FI, screen brightness and bluetooth. I noticed that for some reason today, the bluetooth button was missing. The problem was fixed by rebooting my phone. Odd. I'd never had that before.

Edit: Thought I should mention I'm one that did install JB 4.1.2 manually. Is this a JB related issue? I'm not sure, but considering I've never had this problem, makes me think it is.

There is no NFC Chip in the RAZR or RAZR Maxx

The information I got came from these articles. Agreed, it is not entirely confirmed that there is a NFC chip. One article says there is a chip present, the other says there is the capability. There is mention that Verizon may have planned to enable it through the use of a ISIS sim card in the Razr/Maxx.

Here are the reads...

Motorola Droid Razr • NFC World

Behind the glass: a detailed tour inside the Motorola Droid RAZR

Is the Motorola Droid RAZR the first Isis NFC phone to use an NFC SIM?

You are correct, root to change entitlement. And yes, rooting will enable you to install SU and BB.

Sorry to hear about all the trouble ppl are having with update. I did pretty well, with exception.

I updated to jelly bean, using OTA rootkeeper, I kept my root. Once running JB, I tried to use Titanium to restore phone...no go...forgot to restore root. With voodoo still protecting root, I powered down (can't remember reason, seemed like a good idea at the time for some other issue), upon coming back in, I tried to restore root and voodoo would not restore just stayed at same page. I used root checker and it won't work. I used SQLite to check permissions to see if my hotspot would still work for free, it was 0 and does still work. My double twist player (which I believe requires root) still works, my hotspot still works but I cannot back up my phone with Titanium or MyBackUp Pro. Seems I did not update my binary on SuperUser nor did I update binary on busybox prior to updating resulting in my having some sort of limited root but unable to do anything new requiring root. I cannot believe I did not update busybox/superuser. I am kicking myself in the backside but thankful I'm not having any of the issues some are. The only bug I have is using swype capitalizes every word when using it on internet/browser pages but not on apps (i.e. if I were to post here or facebook via swype it would capitalize everything, if i use Facebook app, it does not), which is minor compared to some of the issues others are having. Anyone have any idea if it is possible to update busybox/superuser (binary not app)? That my solve my dilemma. Anyway, hopefully we will be able to root these sooner than later. GL to those with issues.

It also includes the RAZR M home screen launcher, with the swipe right toggle menu.

Maybe I missed something but how do I get the circle widgets and RAZR M launcher and if I currently use, and like, NOVA launcher would I want to bother? Currently running JB w/o swype capitalizing every word being my only bug (that I've noticed at least).

I'm a very heavy user and I finally took the leap a couple days ago to Jelly Bean and I am very impressed I can make 10 hours with extreme heavy use like constant games, listening to music via Bluetooth, and texting and Facebook every once and a while. I usually only get 5 hours sometimes 7 hours if I stretch out the time I internet browse. But whatever they did they fixed a whole lot. There is no lag what so ever, that is all gone. Then they did a couple minor touch ups that you will notice but honestly the biggest thing is the smoothness. That is something you will notice the second you unlock the screen and everything is done loading. Everything moves with flow and you never so any issues. I give them A+ on this one.

I am having almost the exact same experience thus far.

The circle widgets won't work except with the launched from the HD/M launcher. You can find a link in the FoxKat classroom thread post #89.
I can't figure out how to link it here.
I think you have to be rooted to install the configuration files but it works for me just fine not rooted.
Just download and install the APKs.
It also had swipe to settings. I like it. Used nova before but I'm getting used to it.

Here you go. From FoxKat

OK folks, I've got Circle Widgets, Swipe left to settings and swipe right to manage home screens working. Go to http://d-h.st/RDK, and download the zip file. Uncompress onto your PC desktop, or download directly to your phone...either way, then install the APKs just like any normal app. Once installed, hit the home button and you'll be prompted for the launcher choice. Choose the 2nd "homescreen" choice, and you'll have the RAZR HD launcher screen. Then go to Widgets and find Circle Widget. Drag it to the desktop. It will then give you a choice of widgets, and again choose Circles. If all goes well, you'll have the circles widget with weather.

Well I did the FDR and then still had horrible battery life. I did a battery recalibration and it got a little better but not much. I took it to the Verizon store they are going to replace the phone. He said the motorola rep was in there and said that the official release should be out sometime this month. I do like the updated
system features just the battery life is horrible. Hopefully with the official one it will not be so bad on the battery.

Don't need much of a charge to do a FDR, 50% or so to be safe.

My battery has been better. I'm not sure how, but the screen uses less. ICS caused my screen to use more it seemed to me.
This month huh? That was from a Moto rep? He may have been the Christmas elf. :D

I'm curious, when jb ota is released to us. And say they include the circle widget. Does the ota update this apk? Or basically uninstall and delete apk. If ota has it, or just leave it cause they are prolly using the same launcher and widget?

Ps. Tommy likey, Tommy want wingys

Well, after letting my battery get low and giving a full turned off charge a few times, and using WiFi more, I am very happy with my battery life!

1 day, 2 hours, 16 minutes on only 43% of battery...and that includes ten hours of being in a 4g area yesterday.

I will have to take a screen shot of mine after a day of job because it is nothing like this. I get a couple more hours but that is about it
