I waited so long for V0.5 and therefore moved on, unfortunately I doubt I will ever go back, I am more than satisfied with the move I made :D

Yea, sadly once you move away from bugless beast, the developer community really opens up to show it's gems

but you'll make sure to post a sarcastic remark about a developer who gives you **** for free, that's cool bro.

Having loads of fun putting the Bugless Evolution theme on top of metiCkOne's Official FRG22D rooted build.

Slowly adding some of the bugless features to it like the adfree host file etc.

Having some fun here without BB, but I will probably give BB .5 a try when it arrives.

I would almost consider completely renaming your theme to just evolution... just a though, great looking theme btw

hehe i jumped to sapphire and then realized it was getting hot playing music all day on it so i switched back to BBv04 and am happy again. You always get an urge when something new comes out but BB has been the most stable and best running ROM i have seen on the droid. Waiting patiently for V05...dancedroid

I agree with you and your experience is in line with mine. Back to bb v0.4 and waiting for v.5.

I third that. BB is simple and flawless (relatively speaking).

Not enough options, runs slow on my droid, don't know why i waited so long to try other ROMs, Ultimate Droid really is Ultimate. Bugless, well Bugless is simply outdated. Will try v.5 when it arrives, highly doubt it will even compare to whats out by the time it's released.

Wow. Judging by the nature of the responses of all the ROM jumpers in this thread, I hear a bunch of people who go run out and buy the latest technology just because its the latest technology.
<whiny voice>Bugless Beast wasnt pushing new free versions fast enough for me </whiny voice>

WTH? Dude, for someone to do what Pete does, and do it for free, how can you non-developers have the nerve to speak a word of bad about his product? Bugless Beast is reliable and stable. Ive tried other ROMS --CYANOGEN and was eager to get back home to flash BB back on. But to each his own, I just dont appreciate people ragging on a developer for a free product. That's pretty sleazy.

name one reason why you switch back to bb.....and dont say because its stable........look at yourself tryn to defend someone you dont even know. This is my opinion on bb you little turd, i cant help it if it's not the best rom...it is what it is

-usually the people that stick with bb.4 are simple people that don't like having full control of their phone to many customizing options that scare people like you away, Sapphire, UD, and Cyanogen are for more "advanced" users....Like you said, you tried Cyanogen and eagerly scuddled back to bb.4, same as a cockroach when you turn on the lights......you sound like an iphone type of guy, you should try it....real simple for yah!

Anxiously awaiting its release. I've moved to UD/SS, but I will definitely give the new release of BB a try.

    @gneo

well dude the short answer is people want everything, and they want it NOW. that applies to most everything in life.

with so many other options out there and it taking pete this long he would obviously lose some of his momentum. what else can you expect to happen? regardless of how silly the whole situation is people don't playing the waiting game for anything, ever. the fact that he is (self) admittedly a bit green to all of this, coupled with the fact that he's working by himself on this project on the side means that when 5 does come out it will probably be "lacking" what some of the other roms will already have. that's just the typical attitude for most - more is better, bigger is better, higher price tag is better, etc etc.

as far as the "lacking" thing goes - i honestly don't see what one rom has over the other aside from a few nifty options here and there like the reboot option from the power button or more options for screen timeout under display - little things like that. i have no idea why people are so fanatical over them either. to me it seems akin to someone changing their colors and fonts in windows and then claiming "their" version of windows is way better than someone elses... in the end we're all running the same thing.

i've been running bugless 1.1 since it came out and i did try 2 other roms based on froyo. i dont see where they really ran any differently than what i had. the benchmarking apps would have me believe otherwise but my actual real world performance didn't show me any improvements, at least none worth getting worked up like a little school girl.

Saying that the other roms offer "complete" control and are for advanced users is a pretty thoughtless statement. I hardly consider customizing the color of your notification window to fall under the category of advanced options. I stick with BB because with the right kernel it runs fast and stays coolest on my phone and I don't care about minor tweaks that amount to little more than basic skinning.

BB isn't bloated with the nonsense that the other roms have and anything that i'd consider truly advanced can be accomplished on any of the roms that are available. For that reason, I like the fact that it's barebones. It all comes down to what you're trying to accomplish. People have different goals with their devices. With a rooted device and a raw fast build, I have complete control. Any moderately savvy user can implement any of the so called options on any rooted phone in a few minutes. Personally, I'd prefer that Apps2SD was disabled by default because I promptly turned it off.

Speed, control, no skinned elements. That's why I always go back to v.4 and why i'll be happy to see v.5. I'm not sure why there are wars about this crap. Be happy with whatever rom suits you best. Nobody cares if you're tired of waiting.

Just another variation of brand loyalty IMO. If you like it, great. If you feel the need to belittle people that choose other options, well, it's clear where the actual problem lies in such cases.
