A rip in the space-time continuum?

J/K, I'd say a manufactures defect, take it back

I like the first answer better.
    vzw thought the same thing.
    It's working fine now.
I'm leaning more toward it's an os problem or a conflict with an app.
Has anybody heard about this before?

I pulled the battery for a soft reboot several times and waited 20 minutes each time, then on the last soft reboot I went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night and it was still booting but then I saw it went to the home screen
