Issues with voice dialar and spotify

Ok first off I want to just say that I love my Android. It's the single most useful phone I've ever had. Secondly, this phone can be a bit of a pain in the ass at times. Whenever I'm at the gym and listening to the Spotify app its plays a couple of songs fine then starts randomly skipping to different songs in my playlist. I know it's not the Spotify app that's the issue because the voice dialing prompt keeps coming up. How do I turn this off? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
