The Nexus 6P finally has a build of Nougat, but we are starting to see why it may have taken so long to get this build out. It appears that the Nexus 6P may be having some battery issues on the new update. There is a video which showcases the specific issue. After taking a few pictures the display turns off. The user tries to wake up the device by pressing the power button. The phone will not respond until the phone is plugged into power and the battery icon appears. Only then will the phone's screen turn back on. The video was posted to reddit where several other users began reporting the same issue. A factory reset may fix the issue. Also re-flashing 7.1.1 instead of a factory reset may be a fix.

No issues like that here, but I'm running the beta of 7.1.1.

Didn't experience anything like that before the 7.1.1 beta became available either though.

I have experienced it on both 7.0 and 7.1.1.

I was having battery draining quicker on 7.0 than I did on Marshmallow, but that seems to have been worked out with time or they snuck some fixes into a security patch or 2.

No problems here on 7.1.1 beta.

PC, were you an early adopter?

I purchased our 2 64Gig's in late December.

Battery life is just getting worse it seems. It's better now than it was on early Nougat builds, but I still wouldn't call it consistently good.

Battery has been crazy for me. Some days good some bad. Had an LTE issue today. Was stuck in 3G and couldn't get out.

Yeah, it just hasn't been consistent. I definitely can't make it through a day.

More like late adopter. I bought the Note 5 last year and had it until February or March before I switched to the Nexus 6P.
